The decision to initiate the restoration process for Slim Princess #9 was made after a season of heavy rain, which led to dripping from the historic lagging through the rusted holes in the outer boiler jacket. By the end of two weekend volunteer work parties, the outer controls, and equipment had been removed, catalogued, and stored. See the first video below:
